About Us

Yachtio was founded to bring the operation yacht businesses run across scattered tools onto a single digital backbone.

From the outside, running a yacht business looks like it is about boats and the sea. From the inside it is largely information management: who goes out, when, on which boat, at what price, with which crew.

In most businesses that information is scattered across spreadsheets, WhatsApp groups, phone contacts and people’s memories. The system appears to work — until someone goes on leave, a message is missed, or two bookings land on the same boat.

Why we were founded

Yachtio was founded because we saw this fragmentation not as a software problem but as a data model problem. Five copies of the same operation in five places is not caused by a missing application; it is caused by the absence of a shared record.

That is why at the centre of Yachtio there are no screens but a reservation record. Crew assignment, readiness checks, transfers, collections, APA movements, passenger reporting and post-tour feedback all attach to that single record.

How we work

We build the product by learning from the field. How a module should behave is decided in the middle of a real season, not in an office. That is also why the product speaks the language of the industry: option, APA, voucher, berthing, manifest.

On the technical side we deliberately chose a plain foundation: a modular architecture on PHP, PDO and MySQL. The aim was not to use the newest technology but to build a system that stays maintainable and transferable for years.

Where we are going

Yachtio today is more than a panel; it is an ecosystem where operator, agency, marina, crew and guest each look at the same data from their own angle. Next come the Edge layer that turns boats themselves into data sources, and LogSEA AI, which makes sense of that data.

And then there is the sea itself: through the Blue by Yachtio programme we are working to make an industry that lives off the sea accountable to it in measurable terms.
