Finance & APA

See collections, expenses, commissions, advances and APA movements in the context of the booking, so profitability reads alongside operations.

Separating finance from operations leaves the question "what did this tour actually earn us?" unanswered. In Yachtio every income and expense line can be attached to the relevant booking or boat.

On the APA side, the advance taken from the guest, the spending during the tour and the remaining balance are tracked on the same screen; the statement given to the guest at the end of the tour comes from here.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Common questions

What is APA and why is it tracked separately?

APA is the advance taken from the guest on overnight charters and spent during the tour on fuel, port fees, provisioning and similar costs. It is not the operator’s revenue, so it is tracked separately from normal income and expenses with its own balance, and a statement is given to the guest at the end of the tour.

How is agency commission calculated?

The rate set in the agency definition is applied to the booking amount. If the booking came through the agency channel, the commission is created automatically and posted to the agency performance report.
